Today was a full day of stitching. I took time out to prepare a pork loin for dinner but the remainder of my day was devoted to Baby Kasey. She's coming right along!

Kasey is 11 years old now and has given 21-month-old Emily a great foundation as a working dog. Em loves her big sis and is learning quickly.
About Me

- I'm a 30-something native Annapolitan who grew up on Weems Creek, on land my grandparents purchased in 1946. I moved to the other side of the Severn River in December 2009. Crossed Purposes started out as a stitching blog, but I began college in the fall of '09 and found I didn't have time for my needlepoint and cross stitch. My knitting friends started joking that they were going to teach me to knit because it is more portable and you can knit for five minutes and actually make visible progress. On December 30, 2009, I showed up for the AnnapolisKnits meeting at Borders and Marseille plopped two skeins of yarn in front of me and Kathy S slapped down a pair of knitting needles. Kay and Genia proceeded to teach me to knit and purl. Since then, I've transferred my love of hand-dyed silk floss to an obsession for hand-dyed silk yarn. I'm having a ball (pun intended) knitting things I can wear. I'm still maintaining an A average in college, so posts will be few and far between when school is in session. I am majoring in both English (grammar, not literature) and History (concentration in US Civil War).
