I finished up all my laundry today, so that's out of the way. Now I can get to stitching! I finished the band of flowers on Deftly Wrought and went to work on the border. I apologize for the color distortion in this picture, but it was snapped around midnight in Mom's basement family room which isn't lighted well enough for photography.Mom and I had alot of time to spend together today. We made a roast with vegetables in the crock pot, some homestyle white bread in her bread machine, and pickled eggs and beets. I inherited my grandmother's cookbooks and recipes and found one of my favorites: pickled eggs. I've made them so many times that I have the recipe memorized, so that's the recipe Mom and I used. She asked me a couple weeks ago if I'd make her a batch but I never got around to it, so she decided to make them while I was there so she'd know what to do. It's not very often that Mom and I cook anything together because we have very different tastes, so this was a very nice time for me.
In between all that, I was still working on Deftly Wrought. I really want this done!
