I did it! I got that blasted border stitched at dialysis today! Finally! I just don't know what it is about Stars & Stripes, but it isn't getting stitched anywhere near as quick as I thought it would, but at least the border is done now, so I can move on to stitching everything else. I finished just in the nick of time, too, because my treatment was ending just as I put the last stitch in.
I realized today that I forgot to post a picture of an exchange I received last week. I was part of the Book & Bookmark exchange in ESC and received The Darkest Kiss by Keri Arthur and this cute pre-printed bookmark from Terry F in Ohio. I've never seen a bookmark with something printed on it, so this was a novelty for me. Terry's stitching on the lower part is exquisite. She said, " I stitched it a few years back but thought it very appropriate for this exchange," and it is! Thank you, Terry. I'll be sure to let you know what I think of the book once I read it. I've never read any of this author's work, but it certainly does sound interesting!

  1. I love your Southern Stars; the colors are so pretty. Nice bookmark; I've never seen anything preprinted like that either. Bet you're glad to get the border done on Stars and Stripes. Keep plugging along; I'm going to attempt to get some more stitching done today/tonight. Haven't touched it in about a week.
