September 21, 2008

The first thing I did this morning after eating breakfast was to go home and get Kasey. I was too exhausted after returning from the Renaissance Festival to pick her up yesterday.

Once we got back to HHHRC, Kasey decided she wanted to go outside. I gave her one of her new squeaky tennis balls and she loved it. As she does with all her new toys, she promptly dropped it on the ground and rolled on it. The only problem with that was the grass was wet. She not only got soaked but all the grass, leaves, and dirt stuck to her! I had to brush her before I could let her back inside, she was such a mess. For the rest of the day, her ball wasn't far from her side.

Today was a great stitching day! I finally got all the boxes done and am starting on the fill-in. I absolutely love doing embroidery stitches; it was the main reason I chose this as my next project. There is alot more cross stitch in this than there was in Medley, however. The stitches in this first box include the Algerian Eyelet, Rhodes Square, Rice Stitch, and Four-sided Stitch. The frogs struck here and there, but I was able to kick them out of my room!
