I'm not in the hospital! Kasey, Chet and I have been hibernating in our "cave" for the past three days. As you can see from the picture, my blue-eyed boy has been keeping a close eye (and paw) on me. He always keeps me company when I'm not feeling well, like he knows I need the comfort. I haven't done much besides sleep, read, watch movies, and play spider solitaire...unless you count sneezing, coughing, and blowing your nose as activities. I've been doing the last three things alot.
I'm going to ask the nurse to call the dialysis doc tomorrow so he can call in a prescription for a Z-Pack. Hopefully I'll be feeling better by the weekend once I get that. I know they say you can't take antibiotics for colds, but with dialysis patients the rules change. I was told that you always need an antibiotic because of our compromised immune systems.
Anyway, back to reading email, chatting on IM's and feeling like I've been run over by a truck!
In case you're wondering, I haven't picked up a needle since December 28th, so the slump continues. Right now, I'm afraid I'd contaminate my stitching if I were to try to work on it!

OMG - Chet looks too funny! I love that pic of him :)
ReplyDeleteImmune systems are such a pain in the ass, aren't they? LOL I just had to get a script for antibiotics for a small incision in the bottom of my foot. It's always something! LOL
take care!!
Chet looks so laid back! Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'd worry more about your body associating the stitching with the icky feelings than an actual bug. But good grief dearie... taking a break from stitching to focus on letting your body heal is just good sense. :)
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Allow Kasey and Chet comfort you, continue resting...maybe find a bowl of old fashion chicken soup.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Goodness Beth, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Take care.
